Vacation Time

Both me and my girlfriend have been working 2 jobs for the last few months, and we have the weekend free next weekend and are looking to take a relaxing trip. Anyone have any suggestions for something in the Wisconsin-Iowa-Minnesota-Chicago area? Might be interested in catching a show or a sporting event, or doing some holiday shopping.

Good for both of you! It's always great to reward yourself after working so hard. :)

There are a couple great shows in the Milwaukee area next weekend (and these are just *some* of the professional ones):

There are also some great things to do in Milwaukee...distillery/brewery tours, museums, shopping, etc. We have some beautiful hotels (The Iron Horse, The Pfister, The Brewhouse Inn and Suites) and some great restaurants.

Chicago is also beautiful this time of year--plenty to do shows, shopping, lots of museums, etc.

I also find that sometimes staycations or even local vacations are the nicest. Turn off your technology and just be together! :) Most of all, enjoy!!!

My husband and I love Galena. There are some nice hotels that are somewhat reasonably priced and we have a few favorite restaurants, too.

Message me if you want more specific info!

Thanks for the input. I've been looking into Chicago and there seems to be a lot to do there. I've been looking at doing a murder mystery show, as I've never done one and it sounds fun.

I'll have to look into Galena. Thanks for the tip.

Have been looking into a dinner theater too, maybe a murder mystery, any recommendations on those?

I know depending on the theater, the murder mystery dinners can be kind of hard to get a reservation for--but apparently they're tons of fun! Here are some in Chicago:
