pityriasis rosea....help!

Had this for about 5 weeks, going insane! Haven't been working out for fear that it might get worse. Anybody else ever had this? Any tips? Tried almost every rub, cream, spray and bath stuff out there. Getting super depressed, gaining weight, binge eating spells b/c of depression. Ughhh! Help! :-(

Gave up sugar, bread, pasta, potoes and rice a year ago on December 31. In addition to the 45 pounds gone, the nasty rash that had been on my legs continously for 3 years disappeared..... I still dont eat bread, rice pasta or pototoes..

Doctors tell me my change in diet has nothing to do with it...but too coincidently the rash is gone

I know this was a year ago but just in case anyone stumbles onto it looking for help I will tell you

    THE CURE IS UV EXPOSURE

I have had it twice. The fist time I had it for like four months. and Just let it run

The second time I was like "No I am not going to go through all this again". So I did research and found that a lot of people had success with tanning beds. So tried it. Holy cow, I cleared up after 3 times of tanning! ( two days in a row, and one day three days later) It looked a little worse right after tanning, but the next morning was like a miracle! Here is an article for more supporting research

I had it once...about 20 years ago. I was spotty on my stomach and back for a while, not painful or itchy, it went away and just wasn't that big of a deal. I never had it again. I think it's a viral thing, like chicken pox. It just has to run its course.
