Weightloss dilemma for pear shaped bodies ?

Well i strted my fitness goals two months and i have been working out and eating healthy. I notice a significant
Difference in my upper body. I can see my bones! But my thighs and belly pooch still jiggle . It's driving me nuts. I started doing Jillian Michaels Killer Buns and Thighs a week ago and is it everyday and day by day my performance would go down low
Thru research i learned that that's happening because its bad to keep on doing the same workouts and your only damaging your muscles . I just hate my lower half anybody have a good workout DVD that's can help or at solution?
I lost 11 pounds and its sad for a women to loose weight from her chest :-( i switch things up and did 30 day shred level 2 today but i feel like i haven't worked out hard enough :'( btw i workout six days a week and take Sundays off

    That's not true.

    Agreed. That's not true.

OP - where you lose first and last is based on genetics. Just keeping working out and losing the body fat. I would consider including some resistance/weight training into your weekly workouts for body recomposition.

It has everything to do with genetics. Where you store your extra fat will not change. I'm a classic apple shape and, thus, store any extra weight I have right around my waist. No amount of working the exact area you want to slim down will change that. We're all just predisposed to storing our fat on whatever part of our body our genes will it.

Sad but true. Just look to reduce body fat % overall and you will shrink where you want to. But you may need to consider loving your hips and thighs... they're not going anywhere.

Same. I'm pear shaped too, I'm pretty happy with my upper body by pooch and thighs are gross. Started lifting more to build more muscle in my thighs and flatten my tunny as much as I can. I figure that I'm never going to have small legs or a thigh gap but I'll settle with being toned :)

I can totally relate! I have a skinny and I mean SKINNY top half. My bottom half is not at all skinny. I'm very pear shaped.
The best thing to do is learn to love those legs! Do this by making them strong, and they will look fabulous, and you will accept the rest of you knowing that you have a HOT bottom half!

Good way to start is bodyweight squats and lunges (use google and youtube for correct method) work on planks and press-ups. Keep up the cardio for the feelgood factor.

    Edited for typo :)

Hello. I don't know anything about you but I look at your picture and what I see is a lovely young lady. If you're thinking "Yeah, right." or, "No, I'm not." Well, I'm not sure that I know any woman who hasn't had issues with her body at one time or another. We all have the tendency to look at ourselves and wish that some part of us was different. I'm not going to give you any advise as far as workouts. What I will say is that learning to love your body, no matter what it looks like is a journey that all of us have to take. Loving your body and loving yourself does not mean you're going to stay where you are and never attempt to make improvements. It does mean learning to put things into perspective about how your body naturally looks. I'm five feet tall and have always been extremely pear shaped. I'll never wear clothing that looks fabulous on tall, slender women, but that's okay. This is who I am!
As it appears you may have just started this journey I hope you also come to the realization that some things can be changed with dedication and hard work, and, also that making safe changes can take time. This isn't going to happen in a few days. Think about setting some realistic safe goals and time frames. Most importantly, look at yourself in the mirror and smile at what you see!
    Best wishes.

I'm about size 2 on top and a 6 on the bottom.
Here's my advice: do strength-training for the bottom half. Lots of "heavy" squatting has changed the shape of my bottom half. I'm still MUCH smaller on the top, but the weights have helped make the bottom half look a lot better. The cellulite on the back of my thighs is almost TOTALLY gone!
Also, if you don't feel attractive, don't worry...there are PLENTY of men (as you will find on MFP) that like larger butts...my husband is one of them.

You can't spot reduce. I (though I choose not to be identified by a fruit) would be considerd a pear. I've slimmed down the booty and hips doing squats, deadlifts and hip thrusts. The heavier the better.

I can wear a misses L on top, but am still a size 14/16 on the bottom. There's nothing I can do to change this...I wouldn't say that I'm THAT pear-shaped, but my body has definitely chosen to lose from the top first. It's just a matter of being patient...no matter how I feel some days, eventually that butt and thigh fat has to go away.

I am pear and I do strength training for my whole body. It help having a bit more muscles on top to balance the bottom and it make my legs firm and sharply.
