Eating 1200 calories
Walking on treadmill at 3.5-4 mph at 15% incline for 40 minutes 7 times a week (for the 18 days I will be doing this on the treadmill as I wont have access to any kind of exercising treadmill etc after the 18 days as I wont be able to run outside etc since I'll be in Africa)
Eating mostly healthy stuff but still keeping 1200 calories
Drinking lots of water
So is it a yes you can or a no you can't?
I am 18, 5"8 and 128 pounds
I want lose my newly appearing love handles and I want my tummy to not bulge out, also when i twist my body i can see back fat creases
just a simple yes or now will do

Yes, you can. I've lost 7.5 since November 1st, with walking as my primary exercise and eating more than that. (I'm 5' 6.5" and 162.5)
That is not a "yes, you will" though. It depends a lot on your physiology. Either way, enjoy Africa.0 -
Any particular reason you're trying to become underweight?
You could lose 8lbs in 28 days, but it wouldn't be 8lbs of fat.0 -
It's not impossible, but I do not recommend it.0

Why aren't you able to run in Africa? I saw people running outside there
Anyway, I guess you can lose and I wish you good luck with it!0 -
you're skinny as it is, trying to lose that much isn't healthy
trying to lose that much in that period of time isn't healthy
the way you're trying to lose it isn't healthy0 -
2 pounds a week, at your weight MAY be possible if you go to extremes, but it isn't healthy, and you'd lose a good amount of muscle along with the fat compared to losing more slowly so you won't look as good. Plus, good chance that as soon as you go back to eating regularly you will put the fat back on.
If at your height and weight you aren't happy with the way your body looks, you'd probably get better results with strength training...you don't need to weigh less.0 -

Now! FYI - no matter how skinny a person is, their stomach and back creases when they sit or twist. Those creases are not necessarily fat.0 -
Your BMI is 19.5. Not possible.0

Possibly, but toning & strength training would be more effective for you to get the results you want than being underweight will.0

Not to speak for the OP, but I couldn't run outside in Africa because I attracted way too much unwanted attention, not to mention an entourage of about 20-25 little kids every time.
OP, I don't think you need to lose any more weight. If there's something about your body you want to change or improve, try lifting weights. But it will certainly take longer than 8 weeks to see any significant changes.0 -
8 lbs of fat is too much too quickly for your height and weight. You will lose 3-4 lbs of bloat in the first two weeks and 4 lbs of fat over the 4 weeks. Certainly should try but do it so you'll create a pattern for living that will extend beyond the month. Learning to do weight work will likely help you look like you're hoping than losing fat.0

Not without sacrificing a bunch of muscle. You're at the low end of healthy according to BMI, which isn't a perfect measure but it's generally good for a ballpark.
Instead of trying to lose a bunch of weight-- get yourself started on a good progressive loading strength training program and eat at a very small deficit.0
