Skin question

Okay, so here is an embarrassing question. I weighed 120-130 for most of my teens and young twenties. When i got pregnant, I was at 138, i gained 63 pounds during my pregnancy (pre-ecclampsia). 201 total. Two weeks after delivery I was back at 167. Since then (18 months later) I'm officially at 143. So, people who have had babies and gotten back to a healthy weight that is roughly 75-80 pounds less than their top pregnancy weight, here is the question:
What is going to happen to my skin? Will it still be loose and stretchy, or will it be a little tighter? What do I need to do to help my skin along.
I pierced my naval when I was 19 and wore a maternity ring during my pregnancy. The skin actually looks okay, but with the extra weight it looks like mike lebowsky from monsters inc when he frowns (you know, the one eye with the frown?). Haha.

Ha ha, I like your description! My tummy went back to normal, but I was also in my early twenties when I had my kids, so it might depend on your age. I have noticed a change (NOT for the better) in the resiliency of my skin over the last decade, so I am not sure if I had a baby now (I'm 41) if it would be the same. (Plus, if I had to start over with a baby now I would probably go insane since my youngest is starting high school in the fall!!! )

I'm 33 weeks pregnant with my first now (due September 12th). That's one of the things I'm most worried about, getting my body back. I never had a six-pack to begin with and I'm afraid my belly will stay looking like I'm pregnant long after the baby has been evicted.

Well I'm 22 and my daughter will be 2 next month. But I went from around 125 (freshman year) to 160 (sophmore year) and then back to around 140 (junior and senior year) So my weight was very different in high school..but then I got pregnant a year into college and I was about 155 then. I gained 44 lbs and I was 199 the day I had my daughter. Sooo I feel your pain! Soon after I went slowly back down to 178 and I was there for a while. I started Weight Watchers and managed to lose some weight but i still felt like my body wasn't tightening up after the baby. So, after all that to answer your question, it may be easier on the body when you're younger to "snap back", but it isn't the case for everyone. I'm still working on my stomach area and being 139, it's getting there. I think with the time that you use to exercise..it'll slowly get better with time. Just keep working those muscles as much as you can. But it will take time! Just try and be patient, I know its hard! :ohwell:
