Hi everyone! My first post:) I am working out a lot. Losing pretty fast by keeping my calories at around 1300,and NOTHING past 7pm. VERY hard:'( I HATE the taste of meat. LOVE Quinoa, but it is SO high in calorie I could only have a 1/4 cup as a meal. Of course there were veggies and nuts in it but still!!! I try to keep each meal at 300 cal and snacks as well, need snacks. ANY suggestions? mayb I have the wrong calorie info? I have 2/4 cup at 320 cal!!!! I really need to have more protein...and I am very anemic. THANK YOU!!!!

It's measured as a 1/4 cup uncooked. It grows to about 3/4 to 1 cup when it's cooked. Could it be you are calculating it incorrectly?0

            Uncooked
0.25 cup
total weight 42.50 g
calories 158.950 -
That was going to be my question.
This is what I found for a half cup cooked quinoa. The upshot is 111 calories for a half cup cooked.

ok I think you just saved me!! it says 1/4 cup uncooked is 160cal. SO if that is 3/4 cup cooked like you said then that would be great!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!0
