Need an alternative to bread/flour

I'm making squash burgers and every recipe asks for flour, bread, oats or beans to bind. I'm not a strict no bread/flour/oats/pasta carbs basically (apart from of course the carbs in vegetables). I haven't got any beans lol, plus I want to keep them as low cal as possible.

If I just just egg white do you think these will turn out ok? Anyone tried this before?

Thanks for your help :)

P.S. If you're here to insult, just mutter it under your breath rather than post it on here ;) thank you.

Using egg white may feel a bit to soft when mixing but once it cooks up it should be just fine.

The egg should work fine. I'm on a gluten free diet and lots of the gluten free burger recipes use egg to bind the burgers ( not sure how well as I cant have egg either).

    Good luck.

When I make a similar thing, like meatballs, I incorporate a bit of almond meal as well as whole eggs, and it works very well.

You don't have to wast money buying almond meal, just grind some almonds in the food processor.

    Good luck.

I don't know what squash burgers are but what about rice or chick peas? I remember a meatless dolma recipe I used to make and squishing chick peas into the mix was great for keeping them from falling apart.
