Hello, My name is Bugaluu and I just signed up. Am looking forward to being a success. I do have a question right at the get go for anyone who can help. I have counted fats, calories and carbs in the past but never proteins. Had no idea proteins could be so expensive when counting. Does anyone have food ideas that keep the proteins low when counting? I have a personal size pizza that I make all the time and on Alli it was the best meal that kept me in check. However, with this metod it sucks up all the protein I am allowed for the day. YIKES!! Please help and boy oh boy am I gonna miss that pizza. It was made with all fat free items and was fantastic. Thanks, Bugaluu

It's very easy to go over on protein... I do it all the time. Trying to stick to good meats and superfoods as sources of protein is best. Then when it comes to snacking, try to stick to non-protein items like vegetables, fruits, and whole grain crackers. Also, I try to pick one meal in the day to have a high dose of protein. So if in the morning I have eggs for breakfast, I'll definitely eat protein throughout the rest of the day, just not as the main component of my meal. Those are things that help me with protein intake.0

I wouldn't worry about going over on protein. I usually pay the most attention to calories and sodium. I also make sure I drink plenty of H2O. Welcome and good luck with your journey :flowerforyou:0

Omega 3s are very healthy fats (work to reduce a person's inflammatory responses). Omega 3s are part of Salmon--one of those very healthy protiens. If you buy the Alaskan Pink Salmon (canned), a 1/4th cup serving size is only 80 calories, has 7 servings per can, and each serving has 1 gram of omega 3 in it.
You would have to eat 8 times as much tuna, water-packed, to get 1 gram of omega 3.
Enjoy your experience on this site and have fun! :drinker: (water)0
