I weighed in last Friday and then went golfing all day Saturday. By the 18th hole I was so tired I wasn't sure I would make it. Then we went to the Golden Trough. Of course I ate to much. However since my stomach had shrunk I couldn't eat as much as before and I stayed away from fried foods. Still Consumed over 3k in calories as best I could calculate. However the golfing was over 3200 calories. Since we ate about 6 pm I didn't eat anymore that day. Then Sunday was at Mom's for dinner. I ate rather well and yet restrained. That is no dessert and no stuffing my belly. It was delicious all the same.
Then today I weigh myself and I'm down 2 lbs since Friday. I was on cloud 9 over those two tiny lbs. And I weighed myself before I worked out!

That is awesome and great for you! Keep it up!0

I could see it perhaps if you carried your own bag. Walked the entire way, and did not sit any where to rest.0

No way golfing is that many calories. At a top speed of walking 5mph weighing 300lbs you would only lose 218 an hour.

You have to keep in mind all of the calories you would burn from the actual movement of your strokes. Even people who only go to the driving range every so often knows their muscles are killing them the next day. You burn calories just working those muscles you use while doing the actual golfing.0 -

When you factor in all the screaming, kicking, throwing the clubs and chasing your laughing teammate around the course, I'm sure that adds a few more calories! LOL (just couldn't help myself! :drinker: (enjoy life!)0 -

Bah hahahahahaha! EXACTLY! And when I play there is even more!
"FOUR!!!!!!!"
Nonetheless, CONGRATS! Two pounds is two pounds! You are burning and eating right and its paying off!0 -
Always be proud of a loss (weight that is).0

I don't know, that's a pretty vigorous round of golf.
I mean, lets say it takes you 4 hours to play 18 (it doesn't usually take that long, but ok)
that means you'd have to be burning 800 calories per hour over and above your normal
calories. I find that to be a little more than I would put in. I mean considering I do just over
1000 for doing a moderate jog for an hour, and that's far more energy used than golfing.
Hey, don't get me wrong, I love golf as much as the next guy, but I really doubt one round is
3200 calories.0 -
Welp! I think if it is true I need to play every single day.0
-
Aside from the calories I should of said congrats for the weight loss. Congrats!0
