Hi, my name is robin, this is new to me, I am 53 weigh 322 and have started this journey just a couple days ago..... the doctor put me ona 1200 calorie a day diet ( what I use to eat for breakfast) and will be signing up with a nutrionist today as well. I have stress fractrues on both my feet and arthritis, so standing for too long is painful. I am tired of being in pain and dont want to continue on this way nor do I want to turn into my mama. So this is vow.... I will change... I will grow and get educated and understand my life. My weight was never an issue when I was younger, always confident in my self... but as time goes on, it gets harder to move around and just cuz my mind says one thing, my body says another. I use to be active but now work for citibank behinda computer 10 hours a day, due to my feet.... this is not how I want to live... when i retire i want to be able to do things , not just sit on the couch.... so for that reason , here i am... looking for all the help i can get... soooooooooo here we gooooo...

You know what? My heart lit on fire for you when I read the words "I WILL"! You don't know what that just did for me. I don't even know you and I wanna run up and give you a hug! Not because you need encouragement, but to give you kudos because you have already cleared a major hurdle! You have already gone from the hoping and wishing stage to the BEING stage! "I WILL..."Man- that is exciting! You're already on your way to getting it done. Just because you made the DECISION to WILL TO DO!

Make healthiest choices at each meal ..... move a little more each day ...... you WILL lose weight ...... best of luck :drinker:0

Hey Robin Im Charlie... the main thing I believe you need is the determination to succeed and from what you just wrote you certainly have that...best advice I can give is this is a mental change as much as a physical one, gaining weight is oh so easy to do and losing it is so hard to do...take one day at a time one step at a time..you will fall as we all do but the main thing is you get back up and continue trying....

Hello, welcome to the mfp 'club'. You can do this, you will have good and bad days, but just track them anyway and reach out to your online friends, I have always found my online mfp buddies are supportive no matter what., lots of good advice and, as they say, a problem shared...!
