Walking. Work your way up to jogging, then take on a run if that is what you want. I started out walking, then my body wanted more of challenge and I took up interval training (jogging and running).

I don't have a gym membership and don't see a reason to have one. I do however have a treadmill and weight bench. I also love my 30DS video for circuit training. There are good Zumba videos out there that you can do at your own pace. Pinterest has many options for at home workouts.

My main suggestion is just get moving and do what you can!

C25K - will help with the running.

Lots of body weight exercises that don't require any equipment - I don't have any programs off hand, but hopefully someone will chime in or Mr. Google may help.

Check out "You are your own Gym"- its a book with bodyweight exercises and requires little to start.

Also, start walking and try C25K- repeat weeks as needed.

    Good luck!
