:flowerforyou: Hi Everyone
I've been using FitnessPal on my phone for the last 6 months and have lost a total of 23 lbs so far. It has been a terrific way to confront myself daily with my choices and how they will impact that "bottom line" NET calories!
Feel like I'm at a plateau and I remember from Weight Watchers and other programs, the general advice is to do something different to break into the plateau cycle.
So here I am ready to check in with everyone, offer support and ask for shoulders to cry on, advice, etc.
Josie

Hi Josie!
I used to be a member of WW as well... great program! (Sometimes I think about going back, but MFP has also been successful for me) Congrats on your loss of 23 lbs. ... you're doing great!!0 -
Hi Rebecca,
Thanks for the comments! I also gradually decreased my intake of dairy finding healthier replacements for me. I learned to make homemade almond and cashew milk in my blender and added at least one really healthy vegan protein shake non dairy per day. Have been working on giving up cream or milk in my coffee and well, that's a long term gradual process. I have replaced some regular coffee/espresso without milk or cream but I won't give up my teaspoon of honey. . or agave. Gradual changes are best for me.
How about you? 14 lbs - wow.

Hi!
Why the plateau? Lack of motivation? Eating too much or not enought (yep, it happens!), stuck in a exercice rut (always the same)? maybe you are close to goal so losing slower? You need to figure this first, then act on it :-)
For myself, I know that calories cycling (or zig-zag diet, if you google it) seems to work well.
Good luck!0 -
Have you re-calculated your goals since you have lost the weight? (Congrats!)0

Opening your diary will allow your friends to see where change might help the most. Congrats on the weight you have already lost.0
