Tattoos and weight loss

So there is a meaningful tattoo that I have been wanting for a long time now on the side of my calf. I always planned to get it on my 25th birthday (this april), but now I'm starting to second guess how it will turn out. When in your weight loss journey is it ok to get a tattoo? I'm really worried about getting this large tattoo and it getting messed up. I really need some insight from more experienced tattoo owners who are going through weight loss. And yes, I already have one but it's small and in a spot that doesn't change with weight.

It really depends on how much weight you have to lose, and where you are going to get it. Unless you have a lot of fat on your calves, it probably won't make a huge difference.0

Thanks for your input! It helped me decide that maybe I should make it a reward for getting out of the 200s. It doesn't hurt to wait on a tattoo.0

You could also ask some tattoo artists for their opinions. They'd probably know best.0
