Can anyone recommend a good yoga DVD for beginners?! I would like to start doing yoga, but my schedule won't allow for going to a studio for their scheduled classes.

LOL!
A have a couple recommendations..........
Sara Ivanhoe's Yoga Body Makeover
Video clips (and reviews) here: http://www.collagevideo.com/workout-video/sara-ivanhoes-yoga-body-makeover-5586
These DVDs have lots of short routines. Sara is really down to earth & motivating. I like being able to add a piece here & there, learn as I go.
Elena Brower's AM & PM Yoga ....I really like the Element series. These are longer but move at a pretty relaxed pace, so you can learn as you go.

Save your money. http://www.doyogawithme.com
Can't recommend it enough. Free! You can choose your level of difficulty, duration, and "purpose". I love it!!0 -
THANK YOU all so much!!0

I bought The Ultimate Yogi Program as a beginner and I loved it. It is like P90X or Insanity, but yoga instead of cross training.
Its awesome.0 -
Hulu.com has health & fitness channel. Lots of yoga to try before you buy. This might help you narrow things a bit.
They have GaiamTV, Yoga Zone & Yoga Inc.
Gaiam has several Rodney Yee videos called Everyday Yoga......these look to be geared toward beginners. Rodney Yee explains things really well (IMO).

I'm glad you asked this question since I've been wondering the same thing.0

I'm going to go against what you originally said here and urge you to go to a studio, at least for a few beginner's classes. It's really important to hold proper posture in the asanas (poses) in order to get maximum benefit and prevent injury. Whenever I want to do yoga at home, I just go on YouTube and search for a yoga workout.0

Leslie Sansone's "You Can Do Yoga."0

I just ordered Travis Eliot's Yoga Foundations.

Looks great, but I haven't actually received it yet, so haven't tried it.0 -
Going to check this out...Love the idea of yoga...but it's all a bit slow for me... I want to be more flexible, not fall asleep.0

These DVD are of utmost importance for beginners as yoga has to be performed under guidance and supervision. You can also visit about Yoga dvd http://yogafitnessguru.com/.0

My fav is this one:

Great instruction on how to do poses and a 16 minute putting it all together session that I now have memorized.0
