Hello ketosis...

Just started a keto diet. I've done most every diet out there and am now going try full ketosis. So far I've dropped about 20 pounds in the last 2 months by cutting my carbohydrate intake. Who is doing this long term? What am I in for?

  • Been in keto since September, had a few days recently where I was off but I put myself right back in the next day or two. I have moments where I think I can eat carbs like I used to. When I do it makes me really ICKY! I'm sure I felt like this before I just didn't realize it. When I first started I didn't get the "low carb flu", I did get some really crappy headaches but they only lasted a few days. I don't miss carbs but I do miss the ease of carbs. You can't just run out a get a quick fast food lunch anymore. You have to take the time to prep at home and tote it along (I hate packing my lunch!) but it really helps keep you on track!!

    I've been doing Keto for about a month - have only lost about 5 pounds, but my tummy is much happier and I have much more energy.

    I looooooove keto food though - for lunches I make chicken pie made with cream and mashed cauliflower on top, or I made Moussaka this week, or an egg, cheese, bacon and chicken bake thing. Delicious.

    I'm planning on doing this long term, it keeps me full, makes my tummy happy and my mood is much more stable. :)
