I listen to Dubstep (iheartradio app on the "BASS" station) when I workout. It makes me feel like a badass when I'm lifting.
  • I choose Pandora Dance Cardio -- great current tunes with a variety.

Depends what you define as "good music." My current favorite is "Time to Dance" by The Shoes. I also really like:

    Korn
    Deftones
    Nine Inch Nails
    Mastodon
    Lamb of God
    Five Finger Death Punch
    Authority Zero
    NOFX

I do like upbeat music poppy, but it has to have a good beat. I liked that one by "Foster the People" for working out.

A bit older than most of these, but I seem to be addicted to The Offspring, Smash album. This particular pace and beat kind of drags me along with it, regardless of whether I want to move or not.
  • Rage Against The Machine. Evergreen.

i love me some rap and hip hop, but sometimes the bpms are a little low for high intensity stuff

heres my insanity playlist, which seems to get chopped and changed all the time.

for the most part, the bpms are pretty close

I listen to anything by Hatebreed or Combichrist at the moment while lifting weights.

When running, I listen to Decade of Aggression by Slayer and then put 'Training Montage' from the Rocky IV Soundtrack on when I start to flag on the last 1-2km. It works!!!

I generally listen to anything that's fast, loud, and prevents me from hearing my own breathing which is usually hard rock or metal of some kind.

But lately I've been running to The Glitch Mob.

I listen to mostly punk while working out. Some of my favorites are:

Social Distortion - Reach for the Sky, Winners and Losers, Don't Drag Me Down
Rancid - Killing Zone, Fall Back Down, Radio, I Wanna Riot
Flogging Molly - Drunken Lullabies, The Seven Deadly Sins, Black Friday Rule
The Clash - Train in Vain, Police on my Back

I've also been listening to Frank Turner a lot lately since attending one of his shows. It's kind of tame overall but I like it because the tempo changes. I speed up the treadmill and push myself during the up tempo times.
