Any one figure out a good way to track this type of exercise on this website? Seems impossible.

It's under Cardio > Strength Training.
It depends what you're doing though. If you're just lifting casually, probably accurate. If you're really busting *kitten*, could be double.
Best way is to use a spreadsheet and track weight vs. calories eaten for a few weeks.0 -
Thanks! Funny, just as I posted that I ran across that part of the website. I haven't used this for about 6 months and don't remember seeing that before... but I'll enter what I'm doing and hopefully it will pan out at least close to legitimately
I'm serious about my workouts and make an effort to continuously improve what I can handle. So... who knows
Thanks for the reply!0 -
Yeah, MFP says about 200 cal or an hour, but I know I burn around 400 since I track my weekly calories and weight loss.
That's really the best way to go.0 -

That's really the best way to go.
MFP's #'s are way off.
The strength training entry is a good bit lower than walking. Ummm, no.
The high effort calisthenics entry is a much more realistic # for most strength training (done at sufficient intensity to actually get stronger).0 -
I find it much easier to use the TDEE approach. I still track my strength training exercise, but I just set the calories burned to 1.0
