Banana Ice Cream

You just slice them up and freeze them, the you throw the frozen stuff into a food processor and run it till it takes on the consistency of ice cream. I did this for my kids and they had no idea it wasn't real ice cream.
This is what I do. I throw in a handful of frozen berries, which improves the colour.
ooh yeah really good stuff. We add chocolate syrup (just a bit) or TBSP of peanut butter to it. Also tasty!0 -
Peel and freeze them and make a smoothie tomorrow the next day, the next day, the next day, and the next.

I always make banana nut muffins when I find myself with a couple over ripe bananas. You can find some recipes online for some that are on the healthier side too0

Banana Banana Bread! I used to deliberately save my ripe bananas just for that!

Agree! also you can freeze over-ripened bananas and when you get enough, thaw them out and make banana bread with them at your convenience!0 -
Throw them in a plastic bag and freeze them. Then use them for nanner bread and put some walnuts and mini chocolate chips in there and enjoy!0

Or, peel them, wrap in plastic wrap and toss in freezer to use in smoothies or any other banana recipe.
Actually not necessary to peel them. My mom (and now I do, too) always just threw the whole banana in the freezer. Then you take it out 20 min before you want it and let it thaw a little and it slips right out of its skin. They work so great for banana breads.0 -
protip: if you have lots of bananas and you don't want them to get too ripe before eating them... when they get to the ripeness level that you like, put them in the fridge. that will stop them from ripening any more.0

I slice them and freeze them. They are great in a smoothy - you don't even need to thaw them.0

That's what I do too. Did it today and yesterday and mixed it through some Greek yogurt with berries.0 -
