Ive been hearing that if i eat more than what MFP is recommending (based on .5lb per week weightloss) and lifting heavy, then I should see dramatic results with consistency but must wait probably a year maybe two to see these results? REALLY?
10lbs from prepreg weight
5'9" female
32 years old
Strong Lifts 3X5 for 3 months
150-155lbs CW
Don't have a GW as im already at a healthy weight. Just want less body fat and have smoother curves
Really acutually scared to eat more........sometimes i do and its been junk and that has been worrying me too....
Thoughts?

Body Recomp /newbie gains is only for beginners( first time ever to be in a gym ) it will last for about 3 month if u eat at maintenace level and lift heavy.. u will lose fat and build muscle ..some people say u can do it even if u have been lifting for a while .. ur body will level out year round ...that's bull**** coz all what they are doing is basically really slow clean bulking ( really slight surplus over maintenance level ) and eating on maintenance .. now when they add muscle because of the slight surplus which will take forever to show ..it will look like they recomped because their body fat is still the same, some will say they see it in the mirror not just scales ..that another stupid thing when u gain muscle without adding any fat the muscle fills` the body part and make it look fuller and tighter which looks like muscle gain and fat loss in the same time ...so they are wasting their time , in 1 year u can clean bulk ( 300-500) surplus for like 9 month and cut for 3 month ...the results will be amazing ...with bodyrecomp( ultra slow bulking ) u will maintain or add a tiny amount of muscle0

Holy frig, I just wanna lose 5-10lbs and get lipo to fix my lipohypertrophy (abnormal fat deposit from insulin injections that cannot go away from diet or exercise) AND there is my amazing body....Then once my body looks normal again, I will continue to eat healthy most of the time, lift weights and enjoy some outdoor cardio. Sounds great!0 -
Hi!
It sounds like we are pretty much the same ....
I am close to 5'9" and weigh 148. I am not worried about my weight either because, like you, I am interested in muscle definition and not losing pounds.
Two weeks ago I hired a nutrition coach. He designed a custom plan for me based on what my workout habits are and what my ultimate goals are.
I FEEL LIKE I NEVER STOP EATING! The thing is...it's all about WHAT you are eating. I have three large meals, 3 snacks and protein shakes through the day. It is working for me. I have seen changes in just two weeks! The clean eating, very high protein meals are pretty repetitive, but I'm starting to get used to things and I'm trying really hard to be creative with how I make chicken etc.
Feel free to add me as a friend and check out my food diary. It might be of some help.0 -
