    Pretty sure I fall right into all those times...I drink water ALL the time beginning when I first hop out of bed. My husband calls me a sponge! This is good information.

    One of the main reasons water is so great first thing in the morning is that your body is dehydrated from hours of no intake...that's what they mean by helping the internal organs get moving.

    Also, water is actually really beneficial for your brain cells! They, like all your other cells are dehydrated in the morning. Feeling sluggish?...try a cup of water while your coffee is brewing in the morning!

    Another Fun Fact: when your head hurts because you have a hangover, that is because your brain cells are really really dehydrated from drinking.

    i heard hangover headaches were from low blood pressure, which is from dehydration. Your brain cells cannot feel pain (which is how they can do awake, open head brain surgery)

    I love water ... and for years I drink a big glass upon waking. That's the reason people weigh less in the morning...breathing, etc. uses up about 1-2 pounds of water weight.
