Small as I will ever be?

I am at my heaviest ever now - I have just about 5ft, my smallest was well my smallest at healthy times was 110 but I was still curvy. I have no desire to weigh 110 again. I would be very happy if I weighed 135. Everyone's body is different my curves will never go away no matter how "skinny" I am.
Edited to add: you look wonderful!
Thank you--I've been beating up on myself for not being able to lose more weight, so it's nice to hear that I'm doing ok. Now, for step 2: Weight training0 -
What does "body type" even mean? Your body type is just the weight you're used to. Any body can be any weight within health limits. You can lose as much weight as you want. Calorie deficit doesn't suddenly stop working because your body has decided it doesn't want you to be thinner. Your "body type" is all in your head, because you were overweight as a teen. But your weight as an adult is purely a function of your calorie management, not "body type".
Body type typically refers to where on the body one is predisposed to put on fat.
Well, if you get rid of all the extra fat, it kinda doesn't matter where it is "predisposed" to go. :huh:0 -
I'm the same height as you, OP. Without knowing your body composition it's hard to answer.
Is 110 realistically possible for our height? Yes.
Is it realistic for ME? No. Because I would have to sacrifice muscle to get there. I have approx 99lbs of lean body mass. I'm not willing to sacrifice any of that for a number on the scale. Instead, I'm working on reducing my body fat %.0 -

Yesterday, when I was discussing my weight loss/gain history, I had and "Oh" moment, in which I realized that I'm 5 lbs. away from being 125 lbs., which is the smallest I've been since I was 13 years old. Never being a slender kid, but never chubby, either, I began to think: What if this IS as small as I can get without really drastic measures? Now, I recognize that I CAN exercise more (I only walk 1-3 miles daily, in addition to regular activity) and that will allow me to be a tad more compact, but is it really realistic that we can all be slim? Or, more directly, is it realistic that I can be significantly slimmer?
Now, I'm NOT ready to give up, yet, but I don't want to seek something that I'm truly not capable of achieving. Regardless, of everything, I want to maintain the size that I am, if I am where I need to be.
Ladies, with similar body types, got any advice?
When you were 13 you probably didn't really have hips or boobs, so I wouldn't use that as a reference point to be honest... Some strength/resistance training would probably change your shape a fair bit and make you a lot more 'compact'
Agree, your weight at thirteen is not a great goal! I was slender at thirteen, but my boobs especially hadn't fully developed until about fifteen. I'd never try to achieve my thirteen year old weight back. Even if I could remember what it was - in fact I can't as I never weighed myself until I was in my later teens.0 -
As a short person, 4'11", I feel like my goal weight is huge compared to other short ladies. My goal weight is about 130/140 and it seems most ladies want to be at least 20 lbs lighter than that. I have no interest in weighing less than my goal weight. I don't know, I guess it makes me feel like abnormal or something.0

Big butt, hips, and thighs. J-Lo, Kim Kardashian, etc. ring a bell? I'm the stumpy version and not nearly as cute. That's the body type.
I'm calling B.S. on this! You're adorable, and hopefully will be able to accept yourself at your current weight/shape, even as you keep working toward your goals. Keep it up, you're doing great! Best wishes0 -

Thank you. I DO need to be nicer to myself. You're right.0 -
Oh, folks can get grotesquely small. I got a disease and got down to 85-87 lbs at 5'6". My LBM was later measured (after treatments) at 115 lbs! So that's pretty small, when you lose most of your fat and muscle, too.
Sizes in clothes are different, though. My bony self still wouldn't fit into what these models wear. I really do have a wide frame (and you could see every bone in it, so I got a good look at it, lol!). Actually, my thighs were still bigger than a lot of models, too. Scarily enough considering how sick I was, my legs looked good.
As far as how hard it can be to lose a lot of weight, that's a key thing, imho. I like food. I wouldn't want to be very tiny for me, because I have to lose muscle and eat so little. Ick. I'll just stick with the strong look, myself
For fat, though, you can get a general idea by pinching various parts of yourself. If you have fat deposits that are substantial at all, you'll know it, usually.0 -
I hear what you're saying. I'm 5'5 and 150 lbs with a medium frame. Im happy with what i look like. I have a pretty good amount of muscle, not too much fat and wear a size 6. My goal is 140. I am positive that I could go lower if i wanted to but i'm not willing to put in the work to do it. I'm okay with not being super thin. I'm not willing to make the sacrifices. Thats something we all have to decide for ourselves.0
