Help! Activity level/eating calories

I am really struggling with losing weight. I am normally very active (run, walk, yoga, weights) but I am recovering from minor knee surgery so at this point can't run. I ride my bike trainer for 30-45 min a day at about 15 mph and try to walk at a brisk pace for a min of 30 min 6 days a week. Also doing arm weights for 20-30 min 3 times a week. My question....it says if I set it to lightly active I should eat 1270 calories. When I add the excersise I gain 300-500 calories. Should I eat those? Or should I not? And should I bump it to a higher activity level? Please let me know your thoughts..... Thanks... Oh and ps I am mid 40's

Pull up Scooby's calculator. Calculate TDEE-20%. Go from there.0

Get a HRM to get a more accurate calories burnt. MFP gives you back exercise calories to eat so that you can keep your original deficit, and not wander into a very large deficit that can be detrimental to your health.0

From what I've seen MFP doesn't set calories appropriately for most people... I would calculate your bmr and tdee out yourself and if you have a heart rate monitor use that to see what you're burning otherwise estimate exercise cals.0
