Hi there my name is Laura and I love in Bradford England with my husband. My sister is getting married in 22 weeks and I am maid of honour. But without telling me my sister went out and ordered the dress on line ordering me a uk size 18. Now I wear 18 now comfortably. So although I was angry at her I thought it would still fit. My parents came to visit yesterday and brought the dress with them. It has to be the smallest 18 in the world it doesn't fit and now I'm worried that I will never fit into it. So now I have the challenge to lose as much weight as I can healthy within the next 22 weeks and hope I can fit into it. I desperate need support, help and motivation so any tips and friend requests would be a huge help. My friends and family are not supportive so I can not rely on them, the only support I have is on this website. I have already lost 14lbs in 93 days. I know I can do better. Please help xx

Hi Laura 22 weeks is lots of time as long you get in the right frame of mind. Set your goal to 1-1.5 pounds a week its more realistic to achieve. Log all your food calories daily, you will get used to this after a week or two. Buy a food scales, You will be surprised at the amount of calories in some food - this will make you make better food choices. Start walking daily even just 10 mins the first day and build it up from there. Give it 3-4 weeks and you will notice a difference. Good luck xxx0

Hey Laura,
22 weeks really is a good chunk of time (my sister gave me 12!) If you commit to logging and start walking every day you should be able to lose at least 1lb a week. You may even lose more in the first couple of weeks as it will be a big change for your body.
Also, Bridal wear tends to come up quite small so it's highly likely the dress isn't a true size 18 so don't get too disheartened.
When i went to try on wedding dresses i was an 18-20 and NONE of the dresses fit at all even though they were supposed to be my size.
Good luck and i'll cheer you on as much as i can0 -
Hey.
I just joined a group called Fit by February where everyone's aiming on losing 15 pounds+ by then. Might just be some of the motivation you need. As everyone else is say if you aim to loose 1-1.5 pounds a week slowly you'll be more likely to maintain it.
22 weeks may seem like a long time but it'll creep on you before you know it. Start changing your life today
Good luck to you on your journey.
