Need a better eating schedule

Hi guys,

I wake up 4:30 everyday, i work from 6-3pm in an office.

-I drink my coffee around 5:00-6 while im traveling to work
-Meal 1= around 6:30-7
-Meal 2= around 9am
Meal 3= around 12pm
Meal 4= maybe 3
Meal 5 around 4:30-5:30
Then bed around 7:30-9

I usually get into work and im so so hungry in between my first 2 meals. Im thinking, if i eat earlier around 5, could that help bring down my hunger a bit?

Do you like eating 5 meals? What if you just had one bigger morning meal? Will that help you make it to lunch? There's nothing magical about eating 5 times a day.

I usually eat between3 and 6 meals a day, depending on my work schedule.

For my part, when I work mornings I get up at around 6am and eat a small breakfast, and then eat about every 3 hours after that, but if I'm hungry I will eat.

A bigger question is what do you eat?

Edit after looking at your diary:
You eat a lot of greek yogurt, cottage cheese and fruit. Personally that would not keep me full for long. Try changing it up a little what you eat, and see what keeps you full for longer.

My diary is open, been doing alot of fruit, cottage cheese and greek yogurt these past 2 days since i didnt have much prep time, but you can look at the past week, usually by 8:30 im starving, which is 2 hours after my first meal
  • I noticed your diary was open after I posted.

Try mixing it up a little. Try to find what works for you, makes you feel fuller for longer. I don't like to eat much in the morning, so I don't mind eating every 3ish hours in the morning. I usually go for bread in the morning, but that is what I've figured out works for me.
  • And I get having of days, I mean the last half week have been a mix of eating chocolate until dinner time. I just came of working nights for a long time and my body and eating is more then a little messed up because of it.

Im going to try to eat earlier tommorrow to see if it help, and ill also try to combine meal 1+2 on another day to see if it hold me off for longer. i noticed certain foods like greek yogurt does not keep me as full for longer compared to protein from chicken/meat/eggs. idk if others noticed that too

Same thing here. Something that works in the morning for me is a combination of bread and boiled eggs. Yogurt usually goes in my smoothies or as a "sauce" to dinner if I have it.

^^Absolutely, If I have an egg and bacon and a starch for breakfast with a glass of milk, I'm good for 5-6 hours. If I have yogurt and fruit or cereal and milk, I'm hungry again in two hours. Protein and fat are key to satiety.

I agree with the poster that said "eat a bigger meal in the morning". I tried eating small meals throughout the day ( 5-6 ) and not only was I always hungry and thinking about food all the time, but I was cranky because I never felt full.

I switched to two big meals a day - much better. I've been maintaining for six years and doing the two meals for about three years.
