one NSV accomplished

Due to weight and hereditary issues, I've been on blood pressure medication for the last several years. It's actually been problem since ~1998, but the docs didn't want to put me on a daily control thing back then because we decided it was mostly due to job stress, and less to weight.

As jobs changed and the years went on it became less about stress and more about weight. My bp was usually in the 140/90 range. I always felt fine and I was generally in good shape from playing sports and bicycling, but the extra weight I was carrying complicated things.

I started MFP back end of May and one of my goals was to get off or at least reduce my bp daily med. Wednesday I had a check up with my doc and my bp was down to 110/68. He was concerned about how LOW it was now. Again, i feel great. The last time I felt this good was well.. I dunno. Down ~25 pounds, running, fencing, dropped a pant waist size. Doctor has changed my meds and we're going to monitor for 6 months and see what happens.

This is one of the best NSV's there is!! So happy for you. If you get off the meds, it's such a feeling of accomplishment, more than anything else (I know first hand. I have high B/P, high cholesterol, and diabetes - no meds for any and all under control).
