So, I'm new to this, and while sticking to my calories is going ok, my exercise isn't. I'm a stay at home Mom, so I can't go to the gym for a couple hours each day. So, I figured, well I'll just work out in my living room. Pfft! It's so tiny in here, that I feel like what I can do, isn't even making me break a sweat, so I doubt it's doing anything. I'm getting discouraged because I feel like everyone around me is losing and I'm trying to... but failing.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Like, any exercises I could do to burn calories in a small space? I'm willing to at least try!

You don't need much room (just enough to lay on the floor for ab work) at all to do Jillian Michael's 30 day shred... and you can definitely work up a sweat with that. It's all a matter of how much intensity/effort you're putting into it.0

Most of weight loss is about keeping the caloric intake in check. If you're doing that properly (tracking, weighing and measuring food), then you're 80% of the way there already. There's absolutely NO reason to work out 2 hours a day (that's just crazy talk), so don't even worry about that. I work out at home. I do weights in our office, and take up only as much room as a small bench + a couple of feet to the side. When I do cardio, I can do it in a space in my living room that's about 6 x 6 feet. There are a ton of at-home workout videos on the market designed to let you do just that. Look online for HIIT workouts as well - they usually don't involve a lot of "travelling" or space, but they'll kick your butt. If you don't have storage space for weights etc., get some rubber resistance bands, they take up no room.0

If you are failing to lose weight, the problem is with your calorie intake, not your inability to exercise. Exercise is great for a number of reasons, but the calorie deficit is what causes us to lose weight.0
