toning up is the hard part

I've shed 35lbs. in the last 5 months by counting calories and by substituting low cal foods for the not-so-healthy ones. Yes, I've been successful thus far, but I cannot seem to commit to a regular exercise plan for more than a week or two. It seems like no matter how much I excersize, or how many crunches I do, I cannot get rid of my droopy baby belly...it's embarrassing. I went from 210lbs five months ago to 175lbs today, and at 5' 9'' I appear tall and slender, but I have 0 muscle definition especially on my belly and inner thighs. I hope that long term commitment will be my solution. If anyone has any suggestions for me on motivation, toning, or exersizes to trim excess belly fat, I'm all ears : ) Try, try, try again....here I go.

  • I agree, I'm with you there! Lost 20 pounds after baby but I'm still flabby and gross looking everywhere! I still have more weight to lose but I really need to tone as well if I want to look good.... I just started Jillian Michaels "No more trouble zones" and it's really kicking my butt... literally =P

This is something that I know that I am gonna struggle with. I have lost 23 pounds so far and I have 70 more to go and I really will need to some toning. I am afraid that what I am doing now won't be enough.

210 to 175 is amazing! Well done!
I wouldn't worry too much about not seeing results yet, just try and stick with the strength training! I joined the gym 2 months ago and asked how long it would take til I saw toning results... they said 4-6 months!!! So I'm sure they'll come for you in time
