Not Losing Weight

I'm so confused and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here. I am 5'5", 168lbs and my calories are set to 1390/day - I average about 1200-1300 on most days and when I exercise I eat back most of the calories. I'm trying to lose about 40lbs that I gained while I was pregnant. I do not get to exercise every day because I have a newborn and we don't have a schedule yet, but when I do get a chance I just do low impact cardio because all this extra weight is hurting my knees. Oh and I measure and weigh everything I eat, usually I will go over my protein and sometimes sodium but I thought as long as I don't eat too many calories I should still lose weight.

I started at 170lbs and I've only lost 2lbs in the last 1.5months. I was on here before I got pregnant and I was losing weight pretty easily so I don't know what I'm doing wrong now. Am I not eating enough? I don't even think that makes sense. I'm starting to get really frustrated and I don't want to give up but I need some help :( I've never weighed this much before so it's really getting to me.

    Your baby is aDORBs. :flowerforyou:

How are you measuring your food? Are you using a scale?
How are you calculating your calorie burns?
Also, can you make your diary public so we can be more helpful?

Are you breastfeeding? Yes, details would be helpful. Also, just know that since you just gave birth, your hormones are probably just now getting back to normal. That can play a part in weight loss.

    Thank you! :)

Yup I use a scale and cups and all that good stuff for measuring food. For calorie burns I just use MFP and I know it's not terribly accurate so I usually don't eat all those calories back.

I'm not breastfeeding and I guess that makes sense about the hormones. I did just start birth control again but I thought that only made you gain weight because of eating more, so I don't know if that counts or not. Honestly, having a baby does crazy things to your body lol

Edit: I think opening my diary wouldn't be of much use to you because I haven't logged the last few days out of frustration :( I haven't gained any weight since then though

OK, so it sounds as if you need to just be diligent about logging. Your body has gone through a lot of changes recently, many of which could be effecting water weight (especially going back on birth control). Sooner or later things should start moving in the right direction.
