I'm new to MFP and love the "social networking" feature that updates friends about successes. The problem is, I have no friends. (How sad...) I know seeing the accomplishments of others would help me stay on track. FYI - I am a 54 year old married mom of three (all in their 20s) and I hope to lose 25 lbs. after which I will reassess and maybe make a second goal of another 15. I live in the MIdwest but find it very interesting to read the stories from all over the globe.

Have a happy day!

Lots of crabby fat losers on here! Even some crabby skinny gainers on here! Read some blogs, read some posts.... if you like the sound of the person send a friend request. Everyone is supportive and more than willing to help. Give it a shot!

    Good luck on your journey!

Welcome & good luck, you are definitely in the right place & please feel free to befriend me. I live in Coventry UK & have been here since June. I am 59 with a number of health issues & meds which hinder weight loss so my progress is slow but I am thrilled as finally am back in some of my favourite clothes..believe me I love clothes even more than my 3 daughters!!!!! .

Thanks for all the great comments and offers of friendship. So even though I am still an old, fat broad, today I am much less crabby thanks to all of you.

I have decided that this time around I am NOT going to dwell on every last chip or cookie or glass of wine that I "can't" have. I AM going to dwell on getting into that cute pink sweater that doesn't quite stretch around the girls right now. But it will. I and I will look hot. OK, maybe not hot, but definitely confident.
