Hi...my name is Cindy and I am new here. I have some unwanted pounds that I am trying to shed and I can't stay on task. I can make it about two weeks then I can't handle it anymore, and go back to my old way of eating. I am hoping that this time I will have the motivation I need to complete my goal.

You can stay on track this time. Remember you need to enjoy this. Slowly start the diet. This is a lifestyle not a phase:)0

Hi Cindy and welcome to MFP ;-) Like me, you don't have too much to lose but want to get it done. If it helps, I was always the same, start a weight loss plan fabulous for 2 weeks and done. I have days I go way off track but I've lost the weight and stay on the site to stay on track and to keep in touch with the friends I've met here. If I can help motivate you send me a Friend Request . good luck!!!:flowerforyou:0

Your body will start to adjust to the changes, it probably takes about 4 weeks IMO. It's definitely one of the hardest things to do, especially if you love food and lots of it, like me. Just keep going! every week you get on the scales and see a change will be really good motivation, it almost becomes like a personal challenge to lose more.0

Dont think of it in terms of weeks - just string together days. You will see the progress.0

Hello Cindy it's hard to stay focused sometimes just think of it as a marathon not a sprint. Lifestyle changes are difficult but you can do it. Feel free to friend me so we can help each other. Good luck!0

Well you have to gradually change your habits so they can be sustainable! I'm currently working on my water intake so that I can drink at least half of my body weight in ounces (so that's 85 ounces).
Just remember to take it one choice at a time! And that results won't be instant-- it took you ___ years to gain 25 pounds, so don't expect to lose it in a week!
Good luck! :flowerforyou:0
