What the heck happened!

I've been exercising quite a bit as of late, the 100 mile challenge, lifting weights, and playing golf. I woke up this morning as hungry as I have ever been. Thank goodness I keep my weight posted on the fridge. I ate breakfast and it just didn't seem enough. I ate lunch and it didn't seem enough. I've been quite satisfied until today.
I was also very very sore. I never felt like my legs were under me. I wobbled as my lower back just felt loose. I can't describe it. It was like I couldn't get my body aligned because my lower half wouldn't behave. I was trying to fill out a very important form that was not that hard and couldn't do it. I finally succumbed and laid down at 1 pm. Then I woke up at 6:30 pm. Wow, 5.5 hours.
I didn't go over my daily calorie allowance but it was one tough day.

Hello fellow golfer! A little trick I use when I am REALLY hungry and have the snackies. I keep red Peppadews in the fridge. They are spicy and crunchy and very yummy, after you eat them they leave a slight burn. Takes the edge of the hunger and any cravings for some reason, and they are very low in everything.
Good job on your great workout routines, and on your journey!

Have you tried increasing your protein and fibre? Both will help you feel and stay satisfied longer0

sounds kind of flu-like almost.
Or, I agree with RaeNicoll, the protein and fiber avenue...0 -

I am not a physician, but it sounds like you experienced a very low blood sugar experience. You might want to go see your physician just to get a check out. I've had those kinds of feelings (or similar ones), so know it isn't a good feeling. Eating an easily digestible protein (not beef because it takes so long for the digestive system to break down the nutrients). So a protein shake of some kind might be helpful, but still recommend that you see your physician.0 -
could be many things. not eating proper, over doing yourself, or ur getting sick. i recently had a chestcold and taught the gym was gonna kill me. if you are exercising a lot up your protein, muscle need it. hope your nap helped appsrently your body needed rest. listen to your body.0

It just may have been protein. I'm low on that on my diet. I ate cabbage soup for dinner last night and 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. When I looked at my protein intake it was fairly low. Probably even more so if you consider all the exercising.0

I'd take a few days off from exercising if I were you.0

I agree. You might be over doing it a little. Take some time off. Relax. Eat and drink plenty.0 -

If it IS a low blood sugar issue....you would want something with at least 15 g of carbs and some protein (some cheese & crackers would do). My sister is Type 1 diabetic and that's the advice she gave me for my hypoglycemia (low blood sugar). But if you are working out a lot you would need more carbs & protein so your body can work properly. Also, again, if it's low blood sugar......eat smaller and more frequent (i.e every 2-3 hours or so, no more) so your sugar doesn't have the chance to drop. For example if you normally would eat eggs, fruit, milk and toast for breakfast.....maybe split it up eating the eggs, toast and milk first then a couple of hours later eat the fruit......it would be the same amount of calories just spread out.0
