JACK DANIELS CHOCOLATE CHIP-PECAN PIE
JACK DANIELS CHOCOLATE CHIP-PECAN PIE
3 jumbo eggs, lightly beaten
1 C. granulated sugar
2 T. unsalted butter, melted
1 C. dark corn syrup
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1/4 C. Jack Daniels whiskey
1/2 C. semisweet chocolate chips
1 C. whole pecans
1 (10-inch) unbaked pie pastry
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
In a mixing bowl, beat eggs, sugar, butter, corn syrup, vanilla extract and Jack Daniels until well combined. Strain. Sprinkle chocolate chips over bottom of unbaked pie shell, cover with pecans, and pour filling over all. Bake at 375ºF for 35 to 40 minutes or until a knife inserted halfway between the center and the edge comes out clean. Let set at least 30 minutes before serving.
Great recipe for the Holidiays. I make it every Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's incredibly rich and not "diet". I have won first place twice in contests with this Pie.
The added benifit is that there are almost 24 oz of whisky left in the fifth after you've made the pie.

Thank you! My boyfriend will LOVE this!!!0

By the way, this is one of those times where more of a good thing is not better. Too much alcohol will make it "soupy". Just put any sour mash in a glass tumbler. Ice is optional.0

Whole pie is about 3600 calories. Slice it up accordingly. The balance of JD is about 2400 calories. Drink responsibly.0 -

If you need something else to bake some Jack into..... :devil:
SNOCKERDOODLES
INGREDIENTS:
* 2 large eggs
* 1/2 cup vegetable oil
* 1 box cake mix (I think yellow is the best, but chocolate is good too)
* 5 tablespoons Jack Daniel’s Whiskey
* Powdered sugar, for rolling
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Blend eggs and oil. Add cake mix and whiskey. Mix well using hand mixer. Form into small balls and roll in powdered sugar before baking. Place cookie balls on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 15 minutes (check them after 10). Be careful not to overbake – cookies will soft when taken out of the oven. Let cool before you attempt to remove from cookie sheet.
Makes 4-5 dozen.0 -
I have no words for this except...yummmmm! (and I really don't think that is a full word LOL)0
