Butt & back of thigh workouts?

Hi all!

I'm trying to tone my butt and the back of my thighs...when I do squats, it only works out my quads and they are big enough...I just have cellulite on my butt & upper thighs. Any suggestions besides squats?!

    Three things...

    1) You can't spot reduce. As such, no particular exercise will reduce your cellulite.
    2) You're not going low enough on squats, if they're only working your quads.
    3) If, after fixing your squat form, you still want additional posterior chain work for the heck of it, try still-legged or Romanian deadlifts.
  • Dead lifts
    Sumo squats
    Squat lower and focus on using your hamstrings and gluts to push out of the hole.

    Another vote for stiff legged deadlifts. Look up CanditoTrainingHQ on YouTube for proper form.

    MAKE SURE YOU STRETCH if you're going to do SL Deadlifts though.

    FYI, the "back of thighs" are your hamstrings.

    In addition to squats, lunges and deadlifts, also think about adding hip thrusts or glute bridges to really get into your glutes. I've noticed a slight but welcome change in my glutes since adding hip thrusts into my routine.
