I wish MFP database entries could be traced to who added

Because after the next "net carb" entry that screws up my macros, I would LOVE to know who to send the hatemail to...

I hate when ppl can't read the box properly or can't Google how to convert salt into sodium, THEY'RE NOT THE try to E!!!!!
The other day I scanned in something, packet says 5g salt, someone had entered 5000mg sodium, errr nope .

I try to correct when I can

My favourite database screw up is a 8oz ribeye steak for 150 calories. WTF? There's a bunch of similar low calorie entries for high calorie foods. I get that people want to lie to themselves but please don't try to sabotage others. Thanks.

The database drives me nuts. I love that we can add things that aren't there but some people must get a big charge out of screwing it all up. Net carbs and calories only/no macros are pet peeves.... but the WORST, WORST is people who enter their personal recipes in the database. STOP IT.
  • I knowww. I was looking up the average calories for a serving of shepard's pie and I found one that was like 100 calories and 30 grams or something of protein. Made me sad after I realized it's definitely fake. :brokenheart:

I use some of those homemade entries...when I don't want to be arsed with inputting my own. I find one that seems reasonable...after I wade through dozens of mathematically impossible entries.

Seriously, MFP, how hard would it be to run the math for reasonableness? Don't need to delete the bogus entries, but at least have them further down the search list...and maybe give them a symbol so people know they can't possible be correct.
