Okay so I'm investing in purchasing a new Beach Body program and looking into Turbo Fire or Turbo Jam. I want something fun and something that will keep me wanting more.. is there any suggestions you'd recommend? I'd love to here from you and your results! I've done P90X and fell in love with my results but I've gotten bored with the same program, have also done Insanity and enjoyed it as well but wanting something more up to beat and fun. THanks

I gotta ask, is joining a gym an option? All workout dvds get old after a while.0

Not an option with my schedule, I'd refer at home dvds any day than the gym anyways bc of the convenience of my own home.0

Turbofire is funky. I haven't done Turbojam before so don't know.0

I have both and TurboFire is way better and I love it, even a year later. I did get burned out a little in May of last year but now when I put in a video, I am happy to do it. She is fun, lively and awesome. I am starting to run again this year because of this video series, it really does increase your fitness and it's fun.
I also now have Shaun T25 but I don't like it as much, it hurts, it's just a lot of the same movements but not in a good way, a lot of people love it, but I just feel like my joints took a pounding but my physical activity did not really, it's just hard and I am uncoordinated.
I also have Les Mills PUMP which I bought because I was debating between ChaLEAN xtreme and that. I chose PUMP because I like barbells more than hand weights and it's a GREAT workout. I have yet to make it through the 45 minute workout all the way or even one set of squats or lunges all the way, I can totally rip the deadlifts, overhead presses and rows.
Also, you will get a tons of advertisements for their stuff, which is annoying. I tried the Activite vitamins but I like the regular OTC Women's Energy Alive vitamins better.
Don't order online, call the customer service number and ask them if they have any free shipping deals or any special offers they can give you, sometimes they do, but you would never know that online. I almost always get something for free when I call.
Good luck, have fun, TF is great fun!0 -
Insanity is the best Beachbody program IMO0

I love Turbo Fire. I finished the 20 week program months ago, but I still do it once or twice a week. I think Turbo Fire is more advanced than Turbo Jam. There is a "new to class" option where she breaks down the moves and the HIIT workouts are great. I also workout at home, haven't belonged to a gym in years, I think I did OK without one (-110lbs). Right now I'm doing Focus T25, just started the Gamma phase. Also something to think about, P90X just came out with a 30 minute workout. Good luck0

I believe turbofire is more intense and fast paced, I'm on week 9 of turbofire and I love it!0

Try Combat! I'm going on my 2nd season with it, I always end up going back to it even with other choices like T25, Rev Abs, and Rockin' Body.0

I have done Turbo Jam but not Turbo Fire. From what I hear, Turbo Fire is more energetic than Turbo Jam, but they are both good workouts. I do Turbo Jam low impact, but when I weighed less I used to do it high impact also. I like the music with Turbo Jam, and I am always sweating at the end. Turbo Jam has some dancier workouts and some that are more athletic, although you can always modify it to do it how you want. I've considered buying Turbo Fire, but I think I will wait until I've worked up to doing Turbo Jam high impact again (probably when I weigh a little less) to consider that.
In Turbo Jam, there is usually 1-4 minutes of "Turbo" which is really fast intense exercise. This is usually right in the middle of the workout. The rest of the workout is of varying intensity. From what I've read, Turbo Fire does more Turbo and less dancy moves. If you are someone who likes Insanity and the other really high intensity workouts, I'd recommend you try Turbo Fire. If you were just getting into exercise DVDs I'd say try Turbo Jam, but my guess is you might find it too easy and get bored with it given your level of experience.
Whichever you chose, I hope you have a great time with it! I love doing Turbo Jam.0 -
