Sad without chocolate.

The title says it all. I'm literately depressed if I don't have my chocolate fix every SINGLE day. & I mean EVERY single day! & I can't just have a couple bites. I will devour a box of cookies in one day or three bowls of Icecream. I got problems, lol. Who else is sad without a certain food?

  • Hi,

I'm the same way.. Why must cookies be so damn good?! I think a chocolate bar here and there won't really do you any harm though.

Dark chocolate Hershey kisses or something similar saved my life when I was going through this kind of thing. I keep 2-3 in my purse (the kisses are only 20 calories each). If I get a craving I will eat one. If it's still there I have one more. If I get to the third that's fine, but when they are gone they are gone!

I too allow myself to have 3 hershey's bliss dark chocolate squares each day!! It helps me to know that I can have them so I don't feel deprived. Personally I like to save them for after dinner :)
  • How about sugar free Jello/pudding in moderation? Where are you located? There are places you can get chocolate wich has about 30 calories a bar.

Dole Dark Chocolate Strawberry Dippers from the frozen food section. Portion controlled chocolate treat. They are wrapped 4 dipped berry halves per package. 60cals/6 carbs/4 fat. Fits into my daily numbers quite easily, and so OMG-YUM! I look forward to my treat every night, and it's my body's signal that the kitchen is closed!

Willpower is like a muscle. The more you use it, the stronger you'll get. There was a time I felt the same way but "with practice" I can have just a single serving of ice cream and be fine or a few cookies versus the whole package. Counting calories and focusing on meeting my macros has helped me rethink what I eat, how much and that I am strong enough to do whatever it is I want to do. That me saying "I can't" is just an excuse and as long as I think that way, then I really can't.

One of my favorite quotes on my profile actually came from Acg and really made me think. I said I wanted to be stronger and move forward in my life but how can I if I continue to allow myself to keep saying, "I can't."

Here are a few links to some great reads that also had me having a few light bulb on moments. Maybe they'll help you figure out how to be successful

I don't see anything wrong with chocolate consumption every day. Mostly because I EAT it every day.

Try Green & Black's 85% cocoa dark chocolate. It's not bitter like other dark chocoaltes and it's REALLY rich. I eat 6 squares a day and I'm good to go. You can try dipping it in a little peanut butter for extra yumminess.
