Natural sugars vs synthetic

I am having a very hard time staying within my sugar macros. I know it's because I like to eat fruit. I mean, come on. A granny smith apple has 28 grams of sugar in it??? Should I just disregard these sugars since they are "natural"? Help! I don't want to give up my fruit! Especially apples!

    Unless you have a medical reason to watch your sugar intake, I wouldn't be too concerned with it. MFP sets sugar pretty low.

    C6H12O6 is C6H12O6, and generally CnHnOn is CnHnOn. It's honestly no different if it comes a fruit over a candy bar, the only difference is quantity. MFP has their sugar set low, which is good for you if you're looking to lean toward a more Keto styled way of eating. If you're not, then just eat whatever fruit you want.

    The difference is nutrients and fiber!!! I personally don't worry about sugar at all if it comes from fruit because fruit has nutrients that are healthy and fiber that helps you feel full. Most experts only recommend limited added sugars.
