Countdown to Vegas

Hi all! I started MFP a little over a week ago. My goal is to lose 25 lbs and get a lot more excercise (stupid desk job!) before I go to Vegas in February. Not sure if that's possible, but I'm going to try! This forum seems so friendly and supportive. Glad to be here!

I LOVE Vegas! One thing I want to stress to you: GET PLENTY of exercise before you go. If you're not accustomed to doing a lot of walking, you're going to kill your body...lol. The monorail frequently goes down, and cabs are expensive... so you'll do a lot of walking. I had a great time, but I have vowed that the next time I go I'll be MUCH more in shape.0

Hiiii :-) Ive also got a stupid desk job! haha. sometimes it is hard to get exercise in during the week becasue of work, but ive strated walking to and from work, 2 miles each way and that has helped a lot! I dont know when your going to vegas but its 14 weeks to the second week of feb now....1.5 lbs loss per week would take your total to 25lbs :-) doable maybe....? Either way, keep up with the positive attitude and you'll definately see positive results! Good luck. xxx0

I just got back from Vegas! Had a blast. One thing I didn't do was journal my food. I wish I would have, because with all the walking I did, I probably did better than I thought. Drink lots of water!!!! And have FUN!!!!0

I'm going to Las Vegas in December to run the Zappos! Rock N Roll Half Marathon. I get to run from The Mandalay Bay to Freemont Street & back! Just remember, in Vegas, when someone tells you it's a short walk to the next property, it's about a mile a way. The scale of everything makes things look closer than the actually appear.0
