Hypothetical food question...

If you were hypothetically awake at like say 1:30 in the morning and thus had a full days calories in front of you and also were feeling a bit DGAF while having hypothetical IRL stress, what would you eat?

If you felt like you could hypothetically have really anything and then hypothetically make up for it during the day by being more careful. Hypothetically?

    I would give my body what it needs, which can require a little concentration.
    If I need carbs, I have fruit or crispbread.
    If I need fat, I have unsalted peanuts in controlled amounts.
    If I need protein without significant fat (since peanuts have a good amount of protein), I have canned tuna or canned chicken.
    If I just need vegetables, especially on a cold night, I nuke cabbage or frozen veggies.

    I can tell what I need by picturing the food in my head and seeing if my body gives me a "Yes, that's it!" feeling. Because if I need one macro and eat another, I'm still hungry afterwards. If I eat the right macro, I'm satisfied. For me, the bottom line is choosing the healthier alternatives.

    In other words, GAF.

    I have just eaten 2 melting moment cookies, 1 fun size kit kat, 1 fun size peanut buttercup & 1 fun size sneakers bar. I have some left over suckling pig in the refrigerator that my sister roasted yesterday, so I could go and make myself a shredded pork sandwich or a quick stir fry with veggies that I would eat with fresh roti. I tend to whip roti up in a jiffy ... so ~> Just might head to the kitchen for a late night snack. :drinker:

    It's 2.04AM where I am, and the international dateline cannot tell time.:laugh: :laugh:

    i feel like jack in the box munchies meal was invented for exactly my current dilemma.

    In other news...

    I think I just decided to cure my holiday blues by committing to the following plan. Buying refrigerated biscuits, glaze ingredients and froot loops and fruity pebbles to make these on christmas eve night, or morning.

    ...Yes! <.< My powers only work on Thursdays for a limited amount of time though.

    okay then can you magneto my a/ss to the gym early tmorrow morning for my "run" i'm behind on that schedule.

    If I wanted a snack and DGAF (that's didn't give a fudge, yes???): Toasted cheese sarnies. With lots of cheese.

    Or, my favourite sandwich: Pickled onion omlette butties. With chilli sauce and mayonnaise.

    You have a whole week to make it up, calories dont lock in at midnight. Look at weekly average.

    i would probably drink water and go back to bed……I have never had the late AM hungries and the thought of eating at 1am is a huge turn off for me…

    I believe the OP was really awake at 1:30 am; was really hungry; and really wanted to know what to do …..but some reason they were all set up as hypotheticals….why, I do not know...

    I like my sleep. When I wake up hungry, the rest of my body tells my stomach to shut up and I go back to sleep. I am typing this as I lay I bed - and I have to be to work in an hour!
