Brown rice cooked vs uncooked facts

alright so i just purchased Uncle bens wholegrain brown rice. The nutrition facts on it is Per 35ml (30g) (about 125ml prepared)
Cal 110 Fat 1g Carbs 25 g Protien 2. Cooking directions - serving portions = 125ml (1/2 cup) =2 servings . 250 ml (1 cup) equals 6 servings.

so when its cooked each 125ml serving = to the macro labeled? because rice doubles it size while cooked?

For rice, I usually go by the nutrition facts for the dry weight, because the weight of the cooked rice is more variable, depending on how much water you use and how much might have boiled off. I weigh how much dry rice I'm using before I cook it. I weigh the total amount of cooked rice and divide by the number of servings of dried rice I used, and then I know how much one serving of cooked rice from that batch weighs.

But sometimes I forget or am lazy, and then I'll just us the USDA values for cooked rice of whatever kind I made (white, brown, long grain, short grain).

I just use the MFP default values for cooked rice. It's too much of a pain in the butt otherwise!

Just calculate rice as it's dry and whatever you cook it with.
