Met my Mom for lunch yesterday at PF Changs and left totally satisfied and empowered. Here's what I had:

Cup Egg Drop Soup
1/2 glass pino noir
1/4 Singapore Street Noodles
1/4 Sichuan from the Sea

Total: 510 Calories

When I got home, my husband wanted to go to the Blue Monk for some microbrews and gourmet pub food. I'm the driver, so no beer for me. Here's what I had:

Sample of Duck Putin
Sample of Bacon Mac n Cheese
Sample of Shepherd's pie

Total: 400 Calories

I love, love, LOVE that I can eat anything, any day of the week. I can truly live life and taste life.

Feel a little puffy today from the sodium, but it just goes to show that I (and anyone) can eat more 'fun' foods on the weekend and not over-do it.

But are you full on the amount of food you ate? I find the problem with restaurant food is that yes, you can count it into your day but due to the fat/caloric content you don't get to eat as much in a day (unless you randomly snack on peppers and carrots for example and nothing more) so you still end up hungry at the end.

Had a massive salad with tons of veggies and some cold cuts before dining out. I ALWAYS spoil my appetite before dining out or attending a food-centered event (like Thanksgiving Dinner).
