I'm back after taking waaay too long off. I haven't gained any weight thank god but I haven't lost any either.
Anyways, I went to the store the other day and bought plain instant grits. I always see people talking about oatmeal but never the instant grits. I was wondering if it was okay to eat them because I'm not really a huge fan of oatmeal.

Nothing wrong with grits Oatmeal is typically more nutrient dense is probably why it's more often talked about but weight loss is calories in vs out. Grits still have some nutritional benefit (aside from being tasty). I say enjoy0

Try putting cooked oatmeal in a smoothie, it adds nutrition and gives a nice creamy texture.
I didn't care for oatmeal as a child because I was always served soupy rolled oats. Once I discovered steel cut oats I really like it. The steel cut have more substance and a richer flavor in my opinion. Maybe if you try it with a banana, a little honey or maple syrup and chopped walnuts you may like it too.
I also like grits, I eat them with a poached egg. However, Phoenix_Warrior, is absolutely correct oatmeal is much more nutrient dense.0
