      Agreed. BUT they were for their time. They were a novelty, something new and daring for that generation and something that hadn't been done before. But compared to the bands that have come after them? Not even close.

      I mean, yeah the Beatles are and always were WAY overhyped, that's not up for debate, but if I'm high enough and my imagination is firing on all cylinders, at least I can kind of sort of understand why people like them and perceive them to be talented. Nirvana? I have yet to come across a mind-altering substance potent enough to make their sound palatable... If you find one, let me know.

      Music builds on itself. Without the historical greats, we wouldn't have the music evolution of today. The Beatles made amazing music that, along with contemporaries, influenced and shaped the musicians who came after.
