I am 5'3 and I juggle between 160-168 lbs. I have been this weight for about 2 years or more.
I HAVEN'T always been over weight, from about birth to 13 years old I was a twig and I want to be near that skinny again.
For the past 2 years I have LITERALLY tried everything to lose weight.
Exercise hardcore, not hardcore, daily, semi daily.
Strength training, cardio, strength training and cardio
Eating 1200 calories healthily, eating 800, eating 500.
No soda, only a little soda
Eating 6 small meals a day, eating 3 meals a day, eating two meals a day, no meals(lasted about a week)
I LITERALLY can't get lower than 161.5 lbs.
WHAT THE F***
Please help. This whole weak I have been eating salad twice each day. It really fills me because I mix in a protein and it is really good. I didn't weigh myself at all this week besides just a moment ago and not a single lb lost, 164lbs. I was so sad because I felt like I was losing weight and I felt like a started looking/feeling better knowing I was finally doing it. just 1lb? why not 1lb? 1lb is a lot to lose if you look at it right. I am just so depressed. Please help

If you're still working out it could be muscle weight added on, it weighs more than fat. Instead take measurements, you are probably making progress and the scale isn't accurate in telling you you've lost weight sometimes! Good luck.0

You may actually have to UP your calories, if you're at 1200 or lower your body won't like it and respond by normalizing itself or even gaining weight. Also, the more you play around with your calories the MORE your body will fight to plateau.
Feel free to friend me, maybe we can figure it out together!0 -
You're putting too much thought into the whole process. Your goal is to eat less than you expend. Add in some cardio and lifting with a calorie intake that is less than maintenance. You will then lose weight. Don't worry about what foods you are eating at first.0

How long have you kept any of it up consistently? Not that you should with some of those you listed But you use terms like 'whole week' like that's a long time. With weight loss, it absolutely isn't! Think more in 12-week chunks, seriously.
I'm out of the 160's, finally! Took effing forever! My deficit is quite low, and I knew that, but man the patience required is pretty hardcore I had a much easier time seeing new and exciting muscles. Maybe look to goals like that to keep you on track. I also really like the tape measure better than the scale. I compare the inches lost to the number of inches I want to lose in a certain spot and that stat moves much better!0
