= Drink one glass of water every hour. It will make you feel full.
= Drink ice cold water. Your body will burn calories just getting the water to a normal temperature to digest. Also it is great for your complexion.
=Take vitamins daily. Do not take vitamins on an empty stomache, otherwise they have nothing to catalyze with.
=Eat ice or gum when hungry. This will make your body think it had food without the calories.
= Take cold showers because your body will burn calories to heat you back up.
=Brush your teeth constantly so you won't be tempted to eat afterwards.
=Clean something gross (toilet, litter box, boyfriend's closet) when you want to eat. You will not want to eat after cleaning a litter box
=Chew eat bite of food thoroughly and then take a sip of water between bites. You will feel full quicker and will not eat as much.
=Buy clothes that you can't fit into and hang them wear you can see them. This will motivate you to lose weight to fit into them.
= Pamper yourself! Give yourself a facial, paint your nails, anything to make you feel pretty.
= Instead of food, buy something else, a new shirt, flowers, jewelrey etc.
=Never eat anything bigger than about a cup, your stomach will expand and then you'll get hungry more.
= Eat in front of a mirror naked. See how much you can eat then!
=Take a picture of yourself wearing a bathing suit or something equally revealing, look at it when you want to eat.
=Celery actually burns calories. Every hour eat a stalk of it. Not only will it fill you up, but it will also get your metabolism kickin'.
=Weigh yourslef before and after every time you eat. Not only will it eliminate unnecessary eating, but it will make you want to eat less when you see the numbers creep up.
= Don't eat a lot at once. Spread your food throughout the day. This will help to avoid binging and keep your metabolism going.

= do not go grocery shoping wen/if your hungry
=bring luch with you to work
= when you eat do not watch tv as because of the food adverts
= put the music on extremmely load and dance get your man to join you by dancing you can lose alot of weight/ or go swimming with your man youll have fun also you will burn alot of calories

Some of these I find aren't useful to me but I'm sure other people will find them useful. Everyone needs to find what works for them. There are some great things here that I hadn't thought of either! Thanks for sharing these with us!0

I love many of these tips...however...(duh...who wasn't expecting a "however"?) From a dental hygienist's view...please don't chew ice! Really hard on your teeth! Gum is fantastic...my fav is Trident!! And ALWAYS use a soft bristled toothbrush and a pea sized amount of toothpaste...especially if you are going to brush more than 3x a day! Yes...this means you can "over brush" so please be careful!! All in good fun, I know!! So thank you for all the geat tips!!!0

Some of these are pretty good tips. But since I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia I have done a lot of research on exercise and burning calories.
--eating ice or gum won't trick you body into thinking it's getting calories. In fact, it could kick the cravings in. Your body thinks it's getting nutrition, it doesn't so it starts 'crying out' for calories. (Same thing can apply to artifically sweetened food like diet sodas).
--Your stomach doesn't expand or shrink and stay that way. If you overeat for dinner then by breakfast your stomach is back to its original size.
--I wouldn't weigh myself before and after eating. You have to eat 3500 calories to gain a pound. Food starts digesting as soon as it hits your stomach (you won't gain a pound eating a pound a shrimp in one sitting). There is normal weight fluctuation during the day - around 3-5 pounds. If you overeat maybe at dinner and the next morning the scale shows you gained weight - well that is most likely water retention from the amound of sodium that went along with the huge dinner. (i.e. I went out to eat one night and went crazy. Fried shrimp appetizer, meal, garlic - cheese rolls, dessert - boy I love Ruby Tuesdays.) The next day my weight was no different and you burn calories in your sleep also.
And it is good to overeat on occasion (one cheat day per week). Your body gets used to the lower calorie intake and your metabolism can slow down. Overeating one day gives your metabolism a nice boost - don't worry you won't gain weight unless you do it every day).
and for the celery (it has only 6 calories per serving)
"Contrary to popular belief, chewing and swallowing the celery does not burn the calories, rather it is the act of digesting the tough cellulose that accounts for the energy expended. The same can be said of drinking a cold, low-calorie drink -- the body burns more calories warming the liquid to body temperature than are typically consumed.
As good as this may sound, "In a world where it takes 3,500 calories to work off a single pound of fat, feasting on celery would make only the merest difference."
