On my Vegan Bodyweight six pack abs journey

Hi folks:

I just got serious about getting a six pack abs body, and have begun reading Mark Lauren's You are your own Gym book. His website directed me to this one, and I've just created an account.

As per my goals, I need 1230 calories of food per day, and I'm shocked to see that my breakfast already gave me 1155 ! I'm going to follow this diligently to the best I can - I'm not sure how to account for Indian food in calories.

This has also made me realize that I need to seriously revisit what I eat!

Befor you eat if you can put into mfp what your going to eat to get the calories befor you eat them not vicer versa, that will save you consuming a huge amount of calories then regreting it, it,s not recorded till you save it and you can remove it and try entering another food type if you change your mind to eat something else more better for you easy peazy try that.

Sounds like a good plan. I have to try that myself.

Good luck with the quest for abs!

    1. As a young male you should be eating more than 1230. I suspect that you chose 2lbs a week as a weight loss goal. Your profile says you have 30 lbs to lose. 2lbs a week is far too high of a goal for that little weight. It is only really appropriate for those who have more than 100lbs to lose. .5 to 1 lbs a week should be your goal.

    2. MFP expects you to log exercise and eat those calories back. Of course, there are issues with estimations, but you should be eating at least a portion of them back. That will put your goal higher as well.

    3. Try logging all your food for a couple of days to get an idea of you average intake, then start to figure out where you can cut calories to meet your goals.
