12 pounds and nervous

I only want to lose 12 pounds because I don't want to have to lose 15. I'm not sure about public forums, but I've been skulking around and am in love with the success stories. Some actually make my eyes water a bit because I can relate to the struggles involved with losing anything including weight. The recommendations are to eat right, and exercise enough. Ok, if all of you can do it, surely I can as well. I will comnit to logging what I eat and what kind of exercise I participate in. Is this the big secret? Is this all there is? Is it really that simple? Starting tomorrow morning I will log what I eat. I waited till the end of the day to post this out of fear. I won't let fear stop me this time!

Hi there and no reason to be fearful. You can do it! Watch your calories, get some exercise in, and you'll achieve your goals. The difficult part is getting started but it sounds like you're ready to go. Make it happen!!!0

You can definitely do it! The most important thing is to be self-aware.0

Well done you for posting your question
You are so right, if many of the people on MFP can lose weight, then of course you can too!
I love the success stories, they are so inspiring.
It really is as simple as logging your diary and exercise. Keeping in a deficit with calories, and exercising to build some muscle.
Keep up the good work x0 -
Eat well, exercise well and you will succeed! You can do this. You will do this. Send me a friend request if you care to.0

you can do this!
set your calories on MFP then eat on deficit. even without exercise, you will lose the weight by eating 300-500 less calories on deficit. then on weekends or on holiday feast you can eat more or within your set calories. whats your current weight and height? calculate your BMI to see .
let me know what i can do to reach your goals....you can do this! just keep pushing !!!0 -

Thank you all so much! I already exercise heaps, so the question is 'what do I do when I already eat fairly healthy and get exercise, rest and play time?' I try this!0
