edited February 9 in Introduce Yourself
Thought I'd come on the message boards and introduce myself! :)

My name is Victoria, I'm 23, and I'm new to MFP. I started logging on the app this last Sunday 12/22. I weighed in at 225 that day. As of today the scale says 222. I've completely changed my eating habits since then and for the very first time in my life am doing this on my own. I always wanted someone to go with, someone to help motivate because I didn't have the faith in myself that I could solo. I decided to stop using my condition I have as an excuse. If I can go to work everyday and not be on disability like other people in my situation, even if I have to wear duct tape to ease the pain (which I have) I can do this! I went into my goal after 1) seeing my photos from my company's XMAS party 2) Watching the documentary Food Inc. Which I've been watching any food related documentary on Netflix I can find to keep me going! haha

I jumped in and LOVE this app! I'm already telling everyone I know!

I have a goal to shed 50lbs.

There's no cut of date because I want this to be a lifestyle change, not just a "diet". So far, I'm full, drinking only water, and pushing past the stigma that everyone will be in the gym Jan1st and out Jan 31st. I started before XMAS for that reason. Figured if I can make it past that day, I can do everything! I even walked 2miles yesterday when I was doubting I'd even get past 1 ! Love the runtastic app!

So after being an emotional eater since as long as I can remember and trying to pull off the confident "big" girl. I'm standing firm. 2014 will be the year I LOVE myself.

I'd love to add more friends! Feel free to add so we can root each other on!

    Bingo - you nailed it!
Calories out greater than calories in = weight loss. It is really that simple.

Add me if you would like. I log daily and have lost 75 pounds.

Welcome Victoria! I started on my journey a few years ago I started at 220lbs. I am currently in the 170lb and have made this a complete lifestyle change. I know that it has to be because I go back to old habits I would for sure gain the weight back. I am hoping to reach my goal weight by the summer 2014. Let help and support each other. I try to support all fellow MFP friends. I have send you a friend request. Anyone feel free to add me!
