Period and weight loss. whats yours like

ok so i have been reading a lot about menstrating and gaining weight. i tend to loose weight a bit more when i am menstruating bit all the topics here with regards to menstruating has a link to gainig more. anybody else like me or am i the only one who losses a bit more weight during that time of the month. love to hear ur stories

    You're not alone! I lose when it's my time of the month (better than the rest of the month usually) and show a gain during ovulation. I also am extra hungry during ovulation and get cravings that most women seem to associate with PMS and their period. Strange stuff.

    uhuh... anyone else? i lose about 2kgs during dat tym and it the loss is permanent... anyone else

    Nope. I lose big right before but then gain a pound or three of water weight that I hold on to for the duration of period. But I'm usually still losing during that time, I just can't tell until after it is over.

    If I don't cave to the cravings.
  • The majority of my weight loss for the month is during TOM. I usually lose around 1-1.5 kg while I'm on my period and I'll be lucky to lose 0.5 kg the rest of the month.

    i dont weigh myself during periods because i am always feeling bloated or crappy.. however i do have a question in mind.. what kind of workouts do u guys do during periods? i can barely move -_- i am doing turbofire right now but doing it during my time of the month is impossible :|

    The first day is the worst for me, I give myself that day. After that, I just pretend I'm a Viking warrior in a battle who's been stabbed but I have to stay strong, otherwise my men will lose hope and fail.

    lol thats a good way :D .. i meant was its not only the pain its also about being uncomfortable doing some moves :| i mean u cant really move(exercise) that much properly when you are on periods.. i have to rest three days atleast.. fourth day onwards i am fine though.

    I'm one of those people that gains right before and the first couple days during and then around the 3rd/4th day it starts dropping back off.

    As for working out during ToM, I find that any exercise actually makes me feel better. You just have to bite the bullet and get moving.

    I'm the opposide. When I'm on (and few days before) my period I eat more and tend to gain little. After that the things go back to normal.
