as the first day or so you'll actually feel the toxins leave your body and may get a little nauseous!

    Um.. what?

So does it look something like when The Doctor regenerates? Bolts of light shooting out of your arms and head, carrying the toxinz from your body??

I... I was not expecting that. Now whenever I hear someone describing toxins leaving the body, I'll think of the Doctor regenerating. Thank you for this. :drinker:

  • Apples and lemons really take the grassy taste away from kale. My 'go to' juice is apple, kale, carrot and celery. I also like to add lemon or ginger sometimes. Experiment and see what you like...good luck!

IKR? I still haven't recovered from Tennant's departure. "I don't want to go!"

I blame my son for turning me into a Whovian, Now I see DW references in everything!

And just so this stays on topic-- Bananas are good!

Try making soup out of the veggies instead of juice. You'll be more likely to enjoy it. I love fruit juice, but there are very few veggies I can tolerate mixed in with it. (The exception is store-made fruit and vegetable juices. But they don't have to specify how much of the veggie is in there, so I suspect it's mostly fruit juice with some splashes of veggie.)

Don't listen to any of these negative people. I have a protein/fruit/seeds smoothie almost each morning and now have a Nutribullet so I can add some veggies. I am going to experiment with different veggies, use recipes online, and find a few that boost my morning vitamin intake. Tip, bananas help with sweetness and a few nuts with the texture. Good Luck and experiment!!

I love smoothies too, but they are different than juicing. OP will probably have a hard time with veggie juicing if she doesn't like veggies.

Juicing strips almost all the fiber out of the vegetable, you're better off blending it if you're gonna go this route. Also blenders are a lot cheaper.

    Cleanses are satanic

Just a thought...why not just eat fruits and vegetables...Just tossing that one out there. Why juice?

When you juice them, you absorb the nutrients quicker, not to mention you can get a larger portion of veggies when juicing them as opposed to having to eat them solid. You can get an entire plate of veggies in a glass whereas you would be full before eating them all in their entirety.
You also concentrate the sugar and lose all the fiber and many of the nutrients behind in the part that you don't eat.

Eat the real thing, skip the juice. Juicing doesn't anything.

I prefer blending to juicing when I'm on the go. I usually do couple handfuls of spinach, celery stick and half cup of frozen fruit ...sometimes grated ginger for an extra kick. Pour in my cup and I'm good to go.

Frozen fruit varies from berries, pine, peach, mango or fresh green apple. I don't care for bananas.

I add water to get the consistency I like.

Blending is convenient for me but I still prefer to eat my veggies n fruits
